Heaven has a Five Star Rating

Would the Michelin Guide give Heaven a Five Star Rating?

Like many people, I and my family have spent most of our time locked away in our own little “quarantine castle”. Fortunately I am one of the people Blessed with the ability to do my job just about anywhere there is a solid Wi-Fi connection. In a world of cancelled plans and vacations, like so many others we find ourselves “all stressed up with no place to go.” This means finding creative ways of escapism. For me one of those places I go to virtual escape is Animal Crossing: the island getaway sponsored by Tom Nook and the Nook Corporation.

Every day I would log on decorate the island from cliff to shore, like a virtual magpie. Today my little slice of paradise, I so aptly called “Heaven”, made it’s five star rating. I am still paying of the mortgage that Tom Nook has so graciously provided me (and one that seems to grow exponentially with each new same sized addition). But Tom, being the friendly sort he is, gave me half of forever to pay of the mortgage on the “never-never”.

I wonder what new ways the Nintendo corporation will change the game to keep players interested at this point. Just like the old song goes “how are you going to keep them down on the farm after they’ve seen Paree”. Yet there always seems to be another update just around the corner. This time it was swimming and diving for marine creatures for the local aquarium. That alone would keep me coming back; but the funny thing is, if I didn’t log on to talk to the anthropomorphic animal villagers I think I would actually miss them.
